    Disk2vhd Tool from Sysinternals

    Yet another awesome tool from the Sysinternals team, Disk2vhd. As the name implies this tool can covert a physical disk into a virtual disk. Here is the quick summary of it’s capabilities

    • The converted VHD file can be used to boot from Virtual PC, Hyper-V and another physical machine as well
    • Works on a machine that’s online
    • VHD can be created on the same volume that is getting converted
    • Preserves the partition information of the disk

    Thanks you people at MSFT for Virtualization. But this topic needs some time among IT Pro. And your continous labor on this topic- from Virtual Techdays, events and blogposts are really helping everybody (and me too). Virtualization is not a very new topic in IT, but people (specially It people) are less aware about this. All this needs patience and awarenes.

    The same i heard about Disk2vhd tool from sysinternals at New Horizons during FLC live session on 8th Oct, 09. Well there i liked basically two sessions i.e: Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008-R2 both were tremendously presented by Ranjana Jain and Aviraj as well.

    But right i'm willing to download the sessions actually i liked few aspects there in Server 2008-R2 i.e: branch caching and more in depth. So, pl help me out that from where i can download this & apart from this will i get Certificate from Microsoft for attending FLC.

    I look forward to your revert.................
